For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been entrenched in behavioral literature in preparation for Nevada’s interview. I realized that I cannot wait for the time in my life when I will be able to just saturate myself in research and keep reading article after article, learning more and more each moment. Just having a few hours each night is great, but when I can revolve my life and career around it…now that’s going to be fantastic.
For my psychology friends on here, I definitely recommend checking out some of Skinner’s books. His philosophy is amazing and the man used to wake up at 4 am every day to write for a few hours before he got his kids ready for school and went to teach at Harvard. Definitely not as extreme as people would make him out to be (just like Freud) and he writes toward a more mainstream audience than most historical psychological thinkers.
